For publishers

Premium Affiliate is built for media houses that want to offer users product recommendations without taking on the writing, the partner agreements or the technical upkeep.

What you avoid

  • Agreements with online shops and partners
  • Writing and updating the articles
  • Buying links, broken links and follow-up on sales
  • Technical set-up beyond one piece of code
  • Extra staff and new tools for the editorial team

What you keep: editorial control over what is published and where it appears.

What you get

  • A steady stream of ready consumer and lifestyle articles with product recommendations and buying links.
  • Our own technical set-up: buying links that are kept up to date automatically, follow-up on sales and reporting.
  • Agreements with online shops and partners, handled by us.
  • Ongoing improvements based on the results.

What you stay in control of

  • Which articles are published.
  • Where they appear: front page, sections or nowhere.
  • How advertising is labelled on your site, agreed with you.
  • The right to decline anything that does not suit your outlet.

What we handle

  • Content production.
  • Agreements with shops and partners, including direct deals where they make sense.
  • Upkeep of buying links, so they do not break or go out of date.
  • Technical operation of the code and the feed.

Questions and answers

How do we add the code?

You paste one small piece of code into your site, for example in the page template. It does not need access to your CMS, and we help you through the set-up.

Who decides what is published?

You do. Articles arrive in your feed as suggestions. You approve what appears and where, and you can decline anything that does not suit your outlet.

How is advertising labelled?

Articles with product recommendations are labelled as advertising, clearly visible to the user, in line with the Danish Marketing Practices Act and press ethics. We agree the exact wording and placement with each publisher.

How does the revenue work?

In words: a fixed monthly fee covers content production, industry knowledge and contacts, and technical operation. On top of that, the commission on purchases made through the links is shared between the publisher and Premium Affiliate. The details are agreed per publisher.

Who owns the content, and who holds the licence?

That is agreed per publisher. Usage rights and licence terms are settled in the agreement before anything is published.

What happens when a link breaks or an offer ends?

Our own technical set-up checks the links and keeps them up to date, so you do not have to chase broken links or expired offers.

Do we need our own agreements with online shops?

No. We handle the agreements with shops and partners. Direct agreements can allow better terms and exclusive offers for your users, depending on the partner.

Does this affect our editorial independence?

It should not, and the set-up is designed to prevent it. Your editors approve everything that appears, advertising is labelled, and buying links must never steer your reporting.
